James Dodd
In 2005 London took the most coveted prize among world cities, the right to host the 2012 Olympic Games. At that time, there were only 3 Olympic-sized pools in the whole of the United Kingdom. One of them was located at the Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield. People came from all around to train there, including prospects for 2012. Photographer James Dodd has been documenting their progress as the Games draw closer in his ongoing series “Olympic Dreams”.
